If you have never booked a nuru or soapy massage in Bangkok before, this page covers everything worth knowing in one place — how to choose a venue, what to pay, how to book, and what actually happens when you arrive.

Step one — decide which style you want

Soapy massage uses warm water and foam and is generally the gentler introduction. Nuru massage uses a warmed seaweed-based gel on a waterproof mattress and is the more distinctive of the two. Many venues offer both, and several also offer traditional oil massage.

If you are unsure, soapy is the usual recommendation for a first visit.

Step two — choose an area

Bangkok is large and traffic is unpredictable, so proximity to your hotel matters more than you might expect. Sukhumvit and Asok are the most convenient for most visitors, both well served by BTS and MRT. Silom, Ratchada and Thonglor each have their own established venues.

Step three — check the video and the price

Every venue on Thailand Massage Hub has its own video, filmed on location, showing the actual rooms and facilities rather than stock photography. Watch it. It is the fastest way to know whether a venue suits you.

Step four — book

Message the venue directly on LINE or WhatsApp — the contact buttons are on every listing page. Confirm the session length, the room type and the price. An hour or two of notice is usually plenty.

Step five — the visit itself

Shoes off at the door. Room and price confirmed at reception. Shower first, then the session, then a second shower. Payment is normally settled at reception at the end.

Is this legal in Thailand?+
Massage venues operate as licensed spa and massage businesses. Thailand Massage Hub lists venues as a directory and does not provide services itself. All venues featured are subject to our advertising disclosure.
How much should I budget?+
As a broad guide, from around 1,500–2,000 THB for a shorter session at a mid-range venue, rising with duration and room type. Each venue publishes its own pricing.
Do I need to be over 18?+
Yes. This site and every venue listed on it are strictly for adults aged 18 or over.
